Brsibane Roar set for visit
SOCCER: Excited kids around the Whitsundays are gearing up for the Brisbane Roar's visit to the region.
Junior Whitsunday FC players Adam Osborne and Coby Barker are two of the kids who till take part in a special skills day.
Adam loves the Socceroos and calls Lionel Messi his favourite player.
"I love soccer because it gives you a chance to hang out with your friends," he said.
Coby is also a Messi fan and calls Barcelona his favourite team.
"My favourite sport is soccer. It gives you the chance to exercise and to have fun," he said.
Adam's dad Clint said it was great to see things like this come to the region.
The Pauls Roar Active Program includes skills and drills sessions with the Roar coaching staff along with inflatable fields.
The session is taking place on September 12 and is open for kids aged 5-14.
