Robert Irwin introduces Jimmy Fallon to wild guests
ROBERT Irwin continues to keep his father, Steve Irwin's legacy alive, guest starring on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
Host Jimmy Fallon brought out a childhood photograph of Steve Irwin and Robert as a toddler during the segment.
Dressed in the Australia Zoo khaki, Robert started by talking excitedly about an iguana's love for the hibiscus flower.
"It's so cool to see you like this. You're actually your dad," Jimmy Fallon commented.
"My dad was actually on the Tonight Show quite a while ago, so it's really nice to be able to follow in his footsteps," the 13-year old told Fallon.
"(Passion for wildlife) is in my blood.
"I grew up at Australia Zoo so I think I'm the luckiest kid on earth."
Viewers were quick to take to social media to draw comparisons between the father and son.
"You are just like your dad," Emily Rehm wrote on Instagram.
"You are so much like him with your passion and enthusiasm and charisma.
"He would be so proud."
"Awesome job filling your dad's shoes, Robert." user Stacy T wrote.
Mum and Australia Zoo matriarch Terri Irwin even added her own voice to the chorus to show the similarities between father and son.
After promoting the upcoming Steve Irwin Gala Dinner fundraiser in L.A on May 13, it was time for Robert to introduce a nervous Fallon to a few animal guests - a baby crocodile, a screaming armadillo, a red-tail boa constrictor and the highlight for Fallon, two sloths.
