
Rockhampton resident to face court over man's murder
FRIDAY 7AM: TWO men, including a 24-year-old Wandal resident, remanded in custody overnight will face Townsville Magistrates Court this morning charged with murder.
A police spokesperson told The Morning Bulletin the men were charged after the suspicious death of a 30-year-old Townsville man at an accommodation building in the city on Tuesday.
They said officers were called to the scene of a disturbance at Sturt Lodge on Sturt St and Blackwood St about 8.50pm.
It's understood the victim was found dead in a room at the address after suffering head injuries during an assault.

THURSDAY 10PM: A 24-YEAR-OLD Wandal man has been charged with one count of murder over a suspicious death in North Queensland.
Police have tonight released a media statement stating two men were charged by detectives from the Townsville Criminal Investigation Branch.
It's understood the men were initially assisting police with their investigations.
A second 30-year-old Townsville City man has also been charged with one count of murder.
Both men are scheduled to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court tomorrow.
