Ryan Reynolds says daughter is 'totally average'
RYAN Reynolds thinks his baby daughter is "totally average."
The 'Voices' star insists he's reluctant to refer to his little one as a "genius" when he talks to people about her because he doesn't think there's anything special about her level of intelligence.
Talking on 'Live With Kelly and Michael', Ryan said: "Everyone thinks their baby is a genius. People find it delightfully refreshing when I tell them, 'My baby? Totally average. Like, 100 percent average.'
"I have a friend who said his two and a half year old [child] was reciting [Pavel] Chekhov. Now that baby's a genius and probably, let's be honest, a bit of an a hole."
Meanwhile, the 38-year-old actor, whose wife Blake Lively gave birth to their first child in December, admits the tiny tot is a huge fan of night time feeds but he surprisingly doesn't mind not getting much shut-eye and believes the experience is worthwhile.
He joked: "If anything else woke up every 45 minutes during the night demanding to see my wife's breasts, you kill it."
He added: "[But with] a baby, you're like, 'Wahoo!' I'm happily not getting any sleep. These days, I think of blinking as taking tiny little naps all day. It's what you do -- you're up all night. What's weird is you're happy about it in a strange way."
Ryan and Blake, 27, got married in 2012 and announced they were expecting a baby together in early October last year.
