GOLF: Adam Scott missed his first cut in more than a year at the Japan Open last week but will be looking for something a lot better at the CIMB Classic in Kuala Lumpur, starting tomorrow night.

The world No.6 was runner-up in Malaysia last year after firing a final-round 63, finishing one shot behind winner Justin Thomas.

Scott leads a strong Australian contingent this time around. Aaron Baddeley, Marc Leishman, Marcus Fraser, Scott Hend and John Senden will also line up, while American stars Patrick Reed and two-time CIMB Classic winner Ryan Moore, Englishman Paul Casey and Spaniards Sergio Garcia and Rafa Canbrera-Bello are part of a high-class field.

Scott was 10-over through two rounds on his way to missing the cut in Japan last week.

He made 24 birdies and three eagles at the Kuala Lumpur course last year to finish on 25-under and with conditions predicted to be similar this year, low scoring is again expected.
