Sea Eagles ready to soar in 2009
The club has welcomed the arrival of a number of new players over recent weeks with nine new faces on the track on Tuesday night.
The new faces in addition to the familiar faces from last year has meant that training numbers have been strong with over 30 players on the track on Tuesday night.
The senior team will again be led by coach Gav Kuhl in 2009 and the players are gearing up for a trial match to be played against a team from Townsville in a couple of weeks time.
Looking further ahead the club will be hosting the AFL Mackay pre-season carnival at the Whitsunday Sports Park on March 28. The 18 round home and away season will kick off in April with the Sea-Eagles drawn to play the Mackay City Hawks at the Whitsunday Sports Park on April 4.
Anyone who is interested in joining the club in either a playing, supporter, board member, volunteer or sponsor capacity can contact Evan Fulton at CBL Sports on 0410 850 070.
