Super sexy seniors
FISHNETS, feather boas and a performance to The Stripper.
Not quite what you'd expect to see at a seniors centre, but Kyogle's older citizens don't shy away from a bit of risqué fun.
The sexy entertainment was part of a celebration to mark the end of the Super Seniors Health Challenge - a month-long event aimed at improving the health and fitness of Kyogle's seniors.
Last year members of seniors club, the Border Ranges Day Club, performed Olivia Newton John's Physical in full costume.
Hard to top, but this year's follow-up of senior's Kette (strength and balance) exercises choreographed to The Stripper, complete with tea-towel swinging, was a crowd pleaser.
The highlight of yesterday's event, however, had to be line-dancing teacher Lynette Zito, who, dressed in fishnets, boots and little black dress, performed a burlesque bootscoot to Christine Aguilera's But I'm a Good Girl.
While admitting it was a one-off ("I can't see myself in that get-up again"), Lynette said line dancing was a great way for older people to maintain both physical and mental health. She said she also wanted to send a message about body image.
"Exercise doesn't have to be boring, you can have fun into your 60s, 70s and 80s ... and still look a little sexy," she said.
