Shed fire kills 30,000 chickens

A BLAZE that tore through a poultry farm at Marburg has killed an estimated 30,000 chickens.

Police and emergency services were called to the fire, which ignited an industrial shed, on Friday night.

The shed, located on Haigslea Malabar Rd, caught fire at about 8pm.

Police believe the cause of the fire was not suspicious however investigations into the incident are continuing.
