Show of community spirit

MORE than 100 people came together in Proserpine yesterday to help raise funds for a family who lost their possesions in a house fire last month.

Sue Greenhalgh and her daughters Amber and Amy said they were overwhelmed with the support they have received from friends and strangers since the blaze destroyed thier house.

The highlight of the fundraiser was a $1500 cheque presented to the family by the Proserpine Rotary club.
