Shuey a doubt for Lions match

THE Brisbane Lions could have one less gun West Coast midfielder to worry about when the sides clash at the Gabba on Sunday afternoon.

Luke Shuey was charged with striking by the Match Review Panel.

Shuey's strike on Fremantle's Paul Duffield on Sunday was assessed as intentional, medium impact and body contact, adding up to a level three offence.

He can accept a one-week sanction with a guilty plea, or risk a two-week ban if he goes to tribunal.

Essendon's David Zaharakis has been charged with striking GWS player Thomas Bugg, but he can accept a reprimand with an early guilty plea.
