FEDERAL Parliamentary Speaker Peter Slipper and his legal team have parted ways, reported late on Tuesday.

Mr Slipper, the Federal Member for Fisher centred on the Sunshine Coast, is facing allegations that he sexually harassed staffer James Ashby.

He was being represented by law firm Maurice Blackburn.

Mr Ashby is suing the Federal Government and Mr Slipper alleging breach of contract and under the Fair Work Act.

Neither Mr Slipper nor Maurice Blackburn were available for comment on Tuesday night.
