Slow travel with a postie’s notes

SHE'S been there and she's done that, but now Jacqui Kennedy is checking out her own backyard and at a slower pace "and I can't imagine doing anything else," said the adventurer who pulled into town on Friday.

The web designer turned travel blogger spends most of her days cruising at 70km per hour and taking in her surroundings.

She has become known for her unusual mode of transport - a Honda CT 110 postie bike called "Mo".

Originally from Sydney, Ms Kennedy has been on the road since October 2013, even celebrating her 51st birthday in some of Australia's most stunning landscapes.

While on the road, Ms Kennedy is aided with her laptop and has created a strong following with her blog "Postie Notes".

Here in the Whitsundays Ms Kennedy has so far visited the Dingo Beach pub and Hydeaway Bay.

She stayed at Whitsunday Vista Resort and visited the Great Barrier Reef with Cruise Whitsundays on their famous Reefsleep.
