Snake bites Lockyer Valley woman doing gardenwork

A WOMAN has been bitten by a snake while working in her yard.

The 41-year-old had been moving pipes at an Ingoldsby Rd property at Upper Tenthill when she was bitten just below the hip by a snake.

While she did not see the snake, a Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said the woman had two puncture marks just below her hip on the upper leg.

Paramedics were called at 9.36am.

The woman has been transported to Toowoomba Hospital.
