Solid results for drivers
WHITSUNDAY drivers headed south for the first round of the Central Queensland Championships at Ridgelands, west of Rockhampton two weeks ago.
A total of 37 drivers competed, with six representing the Whitsunday Rally Car Club. Warren Morten won his class which was a terrific result for him.
Dale Williamson did well also to take out second in his class, while Tas Taylor and Jacko Miller placed third in their class. Junior Wayne Morton and Kaitlyn Williams also represented the club, with Wayne winning the junior class in his Ford Laser, while Kaitlyn finished second in her Daihatsu Feroza.
Drivers are busy hitting the track in preparation for the second round of the championships that will be held in Gladstone on April 21-22.
Anyone interested in joining the Whitsunday Rally Car Club should email club president Drew Denman at wscc@gmail.com.
