Spirit of Australia captured in a bottle?

AUSTRALIA has always prided itself on having its own spirit.

Now it comes in a 37% alcohol bottle.

Australian botanicals, lemon myrtle, Tasmanian Mountain Pepperberries with a hint of mandarin oil from Australian produced imperial mandarins, are at the heart of the premium Australian tipple.

It's a spirit that can be enjoyed on the rocks or in your favourite cockail.

It certainly has some kick so the cocktail suggestions might be a better way in.

While Spain has sangria, Mexico has tequila and Russia has vodka, Australia is yet to put its own signature spirit on the map, until now, says its maker, Vantage Australia.

Vantage draws its inspiration from native flora.

"The smoky favour comes from only using natural bushfoods to create a blend that blurs the lines between sweet and dry.

"Vantage Australia has the ability to cut across traditional spirit genres, making it the perfect base for most mixers while also giving life to old classics, with an Australian twist,'' the firm says.

It's available in two sizes, the 700ml bottle (RRP $54.99) and the one litre bottle (RRP $68).

The latter captures the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge and renowned city landscape.

Both bottles have a good looking 3D designed format on a frosted bottle.

It's available nationally at www.danmurphys.com.au.
