Spooky funds raised for Ethan

IT WAS a weekend full of successes for BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort, which raised nearly $3000 for local boy Ethan Davis through the annual charity weekend Camp and sCare.

From Friday, October 28 to Sunday, October 30, a total of $2949.65 was raised by guests through sausage sizzles and a pancake breakfast at 125 camp sites to help support Ethan, who suffers from rare genetic condition congenital adrenal hyperplasia.

Ethan and his family joined in on some of the Halloween activities available to families staying at the resort, with many dressing up and decorating their camp sites in a spooky theme.

BIG4 owner Greg McKinnon said the success of the weekend was a testament to the generosity of guests.

"We raise money for a chosen charity every year but it is the generosity of our guests on this special weekend that helps us to really go above and beyond,” he said.

"As well as raising nearly $3000 in one weekend, everyone had a really fabulous time and the atmosphere in the resort was fantastic.”

With funds raised, a special support bed with protective bedding has been purchased, with more items to be bought.
