Sticky Fingers to rock Magnums
SOME bands are formed through advertisements on Facebook, others are formed with a touch of the divine.
For Sydney outfit Sticky Fingers, their formation was an organic coming together, a sharing of mutual love of music and eccentric tastes.
The five-piece band features Dylan Frost on vocals and guitar, Paddy Fingers on bass and vocals, Seamus (Hollywood) on lead guitar, Freddy Crabs on keys and Beaker Best on drums.
Together, the boys launched their debut album in 2013, which saw multiple charting singles and a spot on the Triple J Hottest 100.
The album went into the top 40 in Australia, with three singles enjoying a high rotation on national Australian radio, such as Caress Your Soul, which peaked at number 17 on the ARIA single charts.
Sticky Fingers are best described as a melting pot of reggae, psych, pop and bourbon.
Hypnotising listeners into a swaying trance, then punching you in the face with some intense guitar riffs.
Their borderline contradictory fusion of flavours speaks to every walk of life and makes Sticky Fingers not just a crowd pleaser, but an unmissable, action-packed show.
