A TOWNSVILLE excavation company is still missing machinery after two of their stolen trucks were found dumped outside Proserpine on Monday.

One of the owners of Professional Excavations Roslyn Fickling is devastated that there are people in society who would steal such high priced amounts of equipment from her family business.

“These are not toys,” she said.

“This is our livelihood. This is how we make our money.”

Mrs Fickling estimates that it would cost at least $150,000 to replace the stolen machinery which includes a bob cat and a posi-track loader.

The two Mitsubishi trucks were located at about 4pm on Monday – one in a ditch, the other in a cane paddock track off Dudley Road in Proserpine.

The bob cat and loader have not been found.

“Sadly we have a lot of dishonest people in our society,” Mrs Fickling said.

“Instead of working for a living, some people steal for a living.”

Mrs Fickling said there was no damage to the trucks but she was not confident of seeing the missing machinery again.

She now wants justice.

“I'd just like to see them caught,” she said.

“They have to be taught that you don't take other people's property.” If anyone has any information that might assist the investigation, call Proserpine Police.
