Stuart sidesteps talk of Raiders
EELS coach Ricky Stuart pleaded with reporters to ease up on the speculation he would coach Canberra next season, after Monday night's 26-22 win over the Dragons.
However, one of the Raiders' favourite sons did nothing to quash the strong mail he would bail from the wooden-spoon winning team and end up in the nation's capital.
"I'll talk about it after the season is done," Stuart said. "I want a week ... where we can go and move into Newcastle (for the club's game with the Knights) with a preparation where we don't have to worry about what's in the papers."
Canberra chief executive Don Furner denied on Sunday that Stuart's name was on his coaching short list.
