Superb talent at Proserpine High School Gala
THE upcoming Gala Performance Music Spectacular hosted by Proserpine State High School will showcase the best young musical talent in the region.
Featuring Grades 4-12 from Proserpine State School, Cannonvale State School and Proserpine State High School, the talent across the board has band director Ronald Turner bursting with pride. "We have a virtuoso flute soloist, Jessica Muller, who is our school and band captain,” he said.
"You can also expect to hear some superb vocals from Amber-Rose Cowan and Kalea Toseski- Solomona who have fantastic voices.
"There will be sizzling solos from saxophonist Jade Davis and some blistering solos from lead guitarist Sean O'Neil.”
Guests can look forward to seeing the Little Kids Big Band, Proserpine State High School Concert Band, Proserpine State High School Show Band and vocalists, Cannonvale and Proserpine State School concert bands and the renowned Proserpine State School Choir perform .
Proserpine State High School Concert Band has recently returned from a Burdekin band tour, where students performed three times a day.
The gala event, to be held on October 17, costs $5 for single tickets and $15 for families.
