Teen suffers burns after cigarette lighter explodes

A COLLINGWOOD Park teen has been taken to hospital this afternoon with burns following a mishap with a cigarette lighter.

Paramedics were alerted to the incident shortly after 3.25pm at a address in Gabriel Court.

It is understood the teen was holding the cigarette lighter when it exploded.

The teen, 16, was transported to Ipswich Hospital with burns to his arm, leg and feet.

He remains in a stable condition.
