A 14-YEAR-OLD boy accused of stabbing another teen has been released on bail.

He was arrested about 5.45pm on Wednesday after a disturbance on High St, Rangeville.

Sergeant Mick Loveday said police would allege the boy stabbed a 16-year-old boy during a fight between the pair.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said the 16-year-old was taken to the Toowoomba Hospital in a serious but stable condition, with a back wound.

Paramedics also treated a teenage girl at the scene for emotional distress.

It is understood the two teenagers were the only participants in the fight.

The teen is charged with unlawful wounding, two drug offences, endangering the safety of a vehicle by throwing and three enter premises offences.

The property offences related to burglaries of two home earlier this month.

He is due back before the Toowoomba Children’s Court on October 29.
