Tempers flare up on The Voice but a catfight is long odds

IS A catfight brewing on The Voice?

The lads at SportsBet certainly seem to think so, with the online bookmaker placing odds on either Delta Goodrem or Jessie J leaving the reality singing show.

SportsBet has Jessie J at shorter odds to leave the show before Goodrem and $5 odds that one of them will walk before the new season is finished.

The bookmaker, known for its outrageous novelty bets, has even placed $34 odds that the two singers will have a catfight.

Jessie J got Ricky Martin offside last night when she said he and the other coaches were giving too much praise to singer Gail Page for her "safe" song choice.

Preview footage aired on last night's 2015 season debut hinted at tensions flaring up between the two pop singers as they compete for talent during the show's blind audition process.

But speaking to APN recently, Goodrem said she got on well with Jessie J, describing this year's coaching panel as "spirited".

"I think that we've all come from a place of doing this show for a while now and we're all just letting fly," Goodrem said.

"We have fun, we banter and we go for it; we go hard. We're passionate, then we laugh and cry; we go through a whole gamut of emotions and then we have a glass of wine together."

The Voice continues tonight at 7.30pm on Channel 9/WIN.
