Tennis pro admits he threw match in Toowoomba
A FORMER tennis pro has admitted he deliberately tanked a high-profile match in Toowoomba in 2013.
Nick Lukas Lindahl, 27, pleaded guilty in a Sydney court this morning to a corrupt betting charge relating to allegations he tanked a match at the 2013 Toowoomba Futures Six tournament.
Lindahl told the Burwood Local Court this morning he threw the match while another person bet on the fixture's outcome.
While two other related charges were dropped, Lindahl admitted to one charge of using corrupt conduct information, or inside information, to bet on an event.
The court was told Lindahl intended to fight a concealing conduct charge.
