Tennis season back in full swing

WHITSUNDAY TENNIS

SOCIAL tennis continued on Tuesday and Thursday night in some very hot conditions.

While there weren't many in attendance those that showed up there gave it their all with Rick Galea and Carla Ceasar hit some sizzling forehands.

Families have been out hiring the courts during the school holidays and the Wade family had a great time on court with Jake, Summer and Tylah running mum, Fiona off her feet.

Coaches Jenny and Jamie Kirkman continue their educational trip in Florida and most recently watched the International Orange Bowl Tennis Tournament for the top under-12 and 14 tennis juniors in the world.

To play in this tournament the entrant must be ranked top three in their country and they said it was wonderful to catch three Australians playing as well as a host of top juniors in action from around the world.

There will be a training morning followed by a singles round robin on Friday, January 25.

Memberships for 2013 are due. For any information on court hire, junior fixtures and coaching contact Jenny Kirkman on 0418 866 808.
