Stars love a brief Veve encounter

GLITZ, glamour, sexy and skimpy are all words that spring to mind when you see this season's swimwear collection from Veve.

These barely there ensembles are sure to turn heads and that is why they're popular.

Vanessa Bryce, owner of the Coast business, said more women wanted to make an impact at the beach rather than catch waves.

"We cater to a bit of a niche market," she said.

"Our designs are more glamorous and brief in comparison to other swimwear options on offer.

"Women need to be confident within themselves to wear our swimsuits. If you love to flaunt it, you will love our designs."

The brand has become very popular among American women with the likes of actress Tara Reid, former porn star Jenna Jameson and a bunch of Playboy Bunnies buying the beachwear.

This year the company will target the US market.

Veve's four collections this season are Day Dream, Summer Daze, Wild at Heart and Incredible.

Day Dream is about the glamour and trimmings, Summer Daze is bright, fun, girly and frilly and Wild at Heart showcases animal prints and metallic fabrics.

But model Ellie Gonsalves's collection, Incredible, makes fantasy a reality.

The fantasy line ranges from $175 to $197, above the average price of Veve swimwear.
