This woman just shut Trump down, big time

A BLISTERING attack on Donald Trump may have boosted Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren's chances of partnering Hillary Clinton on the Democratic presidential ticket.

Joining Mrs Clinton on the podium at the Cincinnati Museum Center, the potential vice-president spent about 15 minutes ridiculing the presumptive Republican nominee.

Donald Trump, Senator Warren said, was a "thin-skinned bully ... driven by greed and hate".

She paid particular attention to Mr Trump's comment that Britain's vote to leave the European Union - and the resulting cheaper British pound - would benefit his Turnberry golf course in Scotland, drawing a parallel with the billionaire businessman's attitude to US workers.

"What kind of a man roots for people to lose their jobs, to lose their homes, to lose their life's savings?" she said.

"I will tell you what kind of a man - a small, insecure money-grubber who fights for no one but himself."

A one-time critic of Mrs Clinton, Senator Warren had high praise for the Democrat nominee.

"Hillary has brains, she has guts, she has thick skin and steady hands. But most of all, she has a good heart. And that's what America needs, and that's why I'm with her," she said.
