Driver issued fine after crash at rail crossing
A THREE-VEHICLE crash at the rail crossing on Proserpine's Faust St has luckily not resulted in any major injuries.
Last night, at around 9.15pm, Proserpine police reported a vehicle travelling before the crossing was hit from behind by another car. This also caused the first car to hit a third vehicle travelling in the opposite direction.
Two fire crews attended the scene and one of the drivers had to be removed by firies.
Three people were transported to Proserpine Hospital with minor injuries.
Police believe the first driver had slowed down when approaching the boom gates at the rail crossing and that's when the car was hit from behind.
As a result the driver of the vehicle that rear-ended the car was issued a fine for following too closely.
