Three injured in crash at Goldsborough Valley

POLICE are investigating a serious traffic crash in which three people were injured at Goldsborough Valley this morning.

Initial information indicates that at around 9.30am a car was travelling along Goldsborough Road when it left the road way and collided with a tree.

The driver of the car, a 42-year-old woman, sustained minor injuries.

The front passenger, a 15-year-old girl suffered internal injuries and was transported to Cairns Base Hospital where she remains in a serious but stable condition.

The rear passenger, a 10-year-old boy was also transported to Cairns Base Hospital with life-threatening head and internal injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident.
