Titans in Indigenous All Stars

THREE Gold Coast Titans have been included in a star-studded Indigenous All Stars team which clashes with the National Rugby League All Stars at the Titans's home ground, Skilled Park, on February 4.

Greg Bird will lock the scrums, off-season recruit, Jamal Idris who is ear-marked to play in the Titans centres next season, has been slotted into Indigenous team's second row.

Titans skipper, Scott Prince, has been pushed onto the bench following Parramatta's recruit, Chris Sandow's selection at halfback.

This looks to be a hot football team, one certainly capable of tossing the Wayne Bennett-coached NRL All Stars which will be announced on January 19.

The Indigenous team oozes talented attacking plays in forwards and backs.

Ben Barba, Jharal Yow Yeh, Greg Inglis, Justin Hodges, Nathan Merritt, Johnathan Thurston and Chris Sandow are among the most exciting ball carriers in the game.

The Indigenous pack also includes blockbusting Sea Eagles prop, George Rose, Broncos star Sam Thaiday and Raiders prop, Tom learoyd-Lahrs whose forebears were members of indigenous tribes from the Tweed area.
