Tonne of fun at Camp Australia

IT'S going to be a great time to be a kid these school holidays as Camp Australia brings their two-week program to Proserpine State School with their Holiday Fun activities.

Starting on June 26, a day dedicated to drama, themed activities will kick off the holidays with children able to become stars for the day.

Perhaps one of the most popular days on their calendar, a circus skills day, will be held on June 27, that teaches children balance, accuracy and perseverance.

Next up will be an orienteering day on June 28 that will have children navigating their way through different challenges and activities which will require them to collect clues along the way to solve a puzzle and complete a quest.

Things will take an artistic turn on June 29 as the children are given the weapons to flex their creative muscles with a day of art creation.

The first week of the program will wrap up with a day where children are able to build and make their own planetarium and take it home at the end of the day.

The second week will feature a massive Mask-erade Parade which will teach children about how people celebrate in different ways around the world.

Another popular course will be held on July 4 - coding. Children will learn basic programming concepts before testing their new skills with challenges.

Those who prefer dance will love July 5 as the program "pumps up the jam” with a day of all things music, dance and singing.

On July 6 children are to create a unique indoor garden, which they'll be able to watch grow throughout the holidays and beyond.

The program concludes on July 7 with quizzes and trivia games.
