The newly elected Tourism Whitsundays board: CEO Peter O'Rielly, chairman Chris Jacobs, board members Jeff Aquilina, Nicole Graham, Alan Grundy, Jane Herman and Adrian Bramm.

NO CHANGES were made to the Tourism Whistsundays board at the AGM on Thursday apart from Jane Hermann being officially elected after she stood in for Andrew Keating during the previous term.

The members re-elected were Adrian Bram, Alan Grundy and Jeff Aquilina.

They join Jan Clifford, Nicole Graham, Kelli Medford and David Stielow who remained on the board from the previous term.

John Naylor chose not to stand again for election on the 2011 board.

TW chief executive Peter O'Reilly said having the members re-elected was a big vote of confidence in Tourism Whitsundays.

Ms Clifford, Ms Medford and Mr Steilow were absent from the AGM.

The executive positions remained the same after a meeting of the new board was held on Friday.

Chris Jacobs was elected unopposed as chairman, as was Adrian Bram as deputy chairman, Jeff Aquilina as treasurer and Peter O'Reilly as secretary.

Chairman Chris Jacobs said he was delighted to be re-elected for his second year as chairman.

“I am looking forward to continuing the work started, and to continue to grow TW's successes for the betterment of the region by attracting more visitors and more dollars to restore the economic health of the Whitsundays,” he said.

“The TW membership has shown their faith and support of the work of the board over the past 12 months by electing the same representatives, and I look forward to continuing to work with those board members over the next 12 months,” he said.
