Van cashes onto train tracks in Brisbane's south

A VAN crashed onto train tracks at Yeerongpilly in Brisbane's south about 12.30pm today. 

A Queensland Police spokesman said officers were presently on the scene of the crash which happened on Fairfield Rd and saw a van run through the fence separating the train line from the footpath. 

The rail line was closed in the wake of the crash however a Queensland Rail spokeswoman said services resumed in both directions about 1.30pm.
