WFC to hit the road

FOOTBALL: After a week off, all three Whitsunday Football Club teams will return to the field this weekend.

There were no fixtures due to the Queen's Birthday holiday last Monday but the premier men, reserves and MCL teams each face tough assignments on Saturday in Mackay. The premier men will be looking to keep their undefeated season alive when they play Crusaders at City Brothers Fields at 7pm.

WFC is second on the Mackay Premier League ladder but the Crusaders aren't far behind in fourth position. Similarly, a close encounter is expected in the reserves' match as well, with second up against third.

WFC's reserves (second on the ladder) have won four of their seven games but the Crusaders are just one win behind, having played one less game.

MCL will be the first team to take the field on Saturday, taking on City Brothers from 4pm.
