Man bitten trying to break up a brawl in Airlie Beach

WHITSUNDAY police are seeking assistance from the public after a man was bitten while attempting to break up a fight outside an Airlie Beach licensed premises.

About 2.50am yesterday, a man leaving a licensed premises on Shute Harbour Rd attempted to break up a fight between two men.

Police say while attempting to break up the fight the 27-year-old was bitten on his left hand.

One of the men involved in the fight is described as Caucasian with short black hair.
