Woman, 51, reported missing near Beaver Rock boat ramp

POLICE are appealing for public assistance to help locate a woman reported missing in bushland in Beaver Rock, east of Maryborough, yesterday afternoon.

The 51-year-old was reported missing around 2pm and was last seen in the vicinity of the Beaver Rock boat ramp.

Police conducted patrols of the area with the assistance of the dog squad and a helicopter but were unable to locate the woman.

She is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 167cm tall, of slim build, with dark brown hair flecked with grey and was last seen wearing a yellow or orange shirt.

The search will resume at 7am tomorrow morning.
