Woman airlifted to hospital after suspected snake bite

A WOMAN was airlifted to Mackay Base Hospital last night after a suspected snake bite on Hamilton Island.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said paramedics treated the woman for what was believed to be a snake bite on her foot about 6.06pm.

The woman was flown by RACQ CQ Rescue Helicopter to Mackay Hospital in a stable condition, the spokesperson said.
