Woman dies in 200m cliff fall

A WOMAN has died after falling from a cliff face at Fletchers Lookout in the Blue Mountains this afternoon.

Police have described the incident as "non-suspicious" and the women has not yet been identified.

It is understood she fell more than 200m.

"An operation is underway after the death of a woman at Wentworth Falls," a police spokeswoman said.

"Paramedics were called to the scene at 3.10pm but it is understood they had trouble getting into the scene."

The nearest carpark to the cliff face was 40 minutes away via a walking track.

A helicopter was also called in to assist after a witness reported a woman "had fallen from the rocks" at the lookout.
