Woman in critical condition after town pool rescue

A WOMAN has been flown to Brisbane in a critical condition after an incident at Beerwah's town pool.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said paramedics were called to the Beerwah Aquatic Centre about 2.45pm Sunday to help a woman aged in her 30s.

The spokesman said it wasn't clear whether or not the woman had been pulled from the water.

He said paramedics conducted CPR on the woman.

The Rescue 500 helicopter was called to take the woman from the scene to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.

She was in a critical condition when airlifted.
