Motorists refuse to help woman after she was stabbed
AS blood poured from a North Rockhampton woman's neck as she stumbled along Thozet Rd late Sunday night, passing motorists refused to stop to help.
Blood covered her face and soaked her clothing after the woman, 45, was stabbed in the neck. A man, 41, whom the woman knew, was stabbed in the abdominal area.
It was believed the pair was involved in a domestic incident at a Thozet Rd address before the stabbings took place.
A police media spokeswoman said the woman was in Thozet Rd about midnight on Sunday trying to flag cars down to help her.
But cars were too frightened to pull over.
Yesterday morning the man and woman underwent surgery at Rockhampton Hospital.
The woman was in a serious but stable condition in the intensive care unit, CIB boss Detective Senior Sergeant Scott Moon yesterday confirmed.
City Inspector Virginia Nelson said it was still unclear whether investigators had interviewed the pair.
