PROSERPINE Hack and Pony Club member Lilly Horspool was crowned the Bendigo Bank Overall Grand Champion at the Bowen Show last week.

Judges Trevor and Jamie Hyatt from Townsville and Bowen Bendigo Bank representative Allison Smith were delighted to see the youngster who worked hard throughout the day receive the highest points in the local riders.

Showing in three categories, hacking, riding class and led, the talented eight-year-old was impressive on the field and was the clear winner on the day.

Lilly and her younger brother Harry will be displaying their riding skills at the North Queensland Royal Equestrian Show at Proserpine Pony Club Grounds on the Kelsey Creek Road next Sunday, July 15.

The show is open to non members of the pony club and admission is free to the public.
