Youth space set to go mobile

PROSERPINE Youth Space will be going mobile starting Monday.

The Chapman Street building that Youth Space has occupied since 2005 has been sold.

To ensure this valuable service remains available, Proserpine Youth Space will offer a mobile service for the next three to four weeks.

Many parents rely on Youth Space as a safe alternative to leaving their child alone at home after school.

Other young people visit Youth Space to talk to an adult and receive support outside of school or the home.

Activities will be held at the Proserpine Community Centre and the hall located behind the Uniting Church on Herbert Street between 3.30pm and 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.

An exciting new activity program has been created for the interim period which includes a free boxercise workshop with instructor, free learner drivers workshops, free internet, cooking, movies, and loads of fun games and challenges.

Proserpine Youth Space will advise of their new location in the coming weeks.

New members are always welcome to join, and programs with the upcoming events will be available from the schools and Proserpine Community Centre.

For enquiries please call 4945 0216 or 0407 965 827.
